Polio Mother Home for Christmas--Their best Christmas present came ten days early for Nicholas Wehner and his sons, Ronnie, 3 (left) and Terry, 7. Mrs. Wehner, 30, arrived home Monday after seven months of polio treatment at the University of Michigan hospital. She was flown home in a North Dakota National Guard plane. The National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis has spent about $20,000 for Mrs. Wehner's care and treatment. She was stricken late in 1951 and confined to an iron lung. She can now breathe about four hours a day without mechanical aid.
