Police Subdue a Recalcitrant--Police wrestle a demonstrator to the ground outside the Century Plaza hotel in Los Angeles last night during a rock-throwing melee which erupted while President Johnson was inside giving a speech at a $500-a-plate dinner. Several thousand persons protesting U.S. involvement in the Vietnam war paraded in front of the hotel during the President's brief visit to southern California.
