The Pierce House, 24 Oakton Ave, Dorchester, Mass. This house stands on Oakton Avenue, in what was formerly the town of Dorchester, now a part of Boston. It was built by Robert Pierce, previous to 1640. Since his death in 1664, it has been owned and occupied by his lineal descendants. The children of Roger G. Pierce, who with his family now occupied the house, are the tenth generation of an unbroken line to live there. The present Mrs. Pierce's forefathers, whose name was Hatch, came to Plymouth in 1630.
