Phone Call Saves Chelsea Wife from Mystery Bullet. The wife of a Chelsea boxing promoter escaped death or serious injury when a bullet crashed through her pantry window only because the telephone summoned her away just at that moment, Chelsea police reported today. Mrs. Helen Silverman of 5 Parker Street, Chelsea, wife of Sam Silverman, widely-known boxing promoter, notified police today of the shooting. She said she had been in the pantry about 11:35 last night when the telephone rang.
