Sausalito, Cal... Outwardly placid, Chester Vukas, 23-year-old paratrooper, is shown as he was questioned by Marin county police officials in connection with the strangulation murder of Mrs. Joy Barnes, 18-year-old bride of less than two months. Left to right are Deputy Coroner Frank Keaton; Vukas; District Attorney Fred Bagshaw (standing) and Chief of Police James Doyle. Vukas steadfastly denied all knowledge of the slaying.
