First parsonage of Rev. John White, minister of the 1st Parish Church. Erected about 1703, in 1738 bought by James Stevens and kept as a tower, later continued by Capt. Wm. Ellery, where much of the town's business was transacted.

Other Massachusetts and Rhode Island Red Cross chapters also received some of the 40 trucks, 3,000 blankets, six generators, and 2,000 mattresses and cots distributed by the Army for hurricane relief.
