An Old Cape Cod House. Howes House, built 1713, the oldest house in Dennis, Mass., and probably the oldest house on Cape Cod. This venerable and weatherworn home has windows of many tiny panes and its shingled walls are flanked by lilac bushes apparently as ancient as itself.
