On the first day of Candy Week IN Massachusetts (proclaimed by Governor John A. Volpe), Friday, May 24, 1968 at 9:30 A.M., Miss Candy of 1968 (Pamela Procter, former Miss Massachusetts) will present thousands of lollipops to children at the New England Home for Little Wanderers, 161 S. Huntington Ave., Boston. This and other sweet presentations are part of Miss Candy's job as ambassadress of the National Confectioners Association during the NC.'s 85th annual convention at the Sheraton-Boston Hotel, May 25-29, 1968. Some 2,000 candy industry men and women from throughout the U.S. are expected to attend the national candy conclave here.
