People stand on cars as they wait for rescue from helicopters here 12/14 after the dam at the Baldwin Hills Reservoir burst tossing houses and automobiles onto the crest of an unstoppable flood tide. At least 50 homes were reported destroyed in the first few minutes after the dam broke.
