Ed Gein, right, formerly of Plainfield, is escorted from Waushara County jail to county court yesterday for hearing connected with a charge of slaying a Plainfield woman ten years ago. He was recently declared mentally competent to stand trial and was appointed an attorney at yesterday's hearing.
