Off to a Great Start--Roy Lown, 34, of Brockton, Mass., is off to a great start in the 24th Annual All-Star Bowling Tournament in Philadelphia. He rolled the first opening day 300 in the 24-year history of the tournament. His score of 1391 for 6 games is also the highest first round score in the history of the tournament. Lown is the first man in All-Star history to have rolled more than one perfect game, having rolled a 300 in 1962, when he finished second to Dick Weber of St. Louis.
