Mother, Daughter Slain-- Mrs. Charlotte Adams, 40 (left), and her 12-year-old daughter Caroline (center) were found slashed to death in their apartment in suburban Forest Park, Portland, Me. Police sought the husband and father, Douglas P. Adams, 37 (right), a salesman out of a job.
