A most unique decorative scheme features the table arrangement at the Hotel Statler last night when a large group of prominent business and social leaders were guests of Ellsworth M. Statler and his local representative, Bradbury F. Cushing, at a complimentary dinner in connection with the Statler Hotels’ nationwide broadcast celebrating the dedication of radio reception in the 7700 rooms of the hotel chain. The dinner table arrangement was patterned after the architectural plan of the Boston Statler with its three wings. On either end of each wing was a minute model patterned after the architectural plan of the respective hotels in the chain. As each hotel went on the air during the period from 8 to 9 o’clock a red light on the top of the model representing that hostelry was switched from New York to Boston; to Buffalo, Cleveland, St. Louis, Detroit, and back to New York. The hotel models on the table were connected by a novel ribbon arrangement representing the ether waves which linked the entire chain together for one whole hour.
