Out in Try for the Plate-Ruben Amare, Philadelphia shortstop, is tagged out as he tries to slide past Mets catcher Joe Pignatano in fourth inning of first game of a double header at New York's Polo Grounds today. Amare tried to score from third when Pignatano threw to second in attempt to pick off Phillies Tony Taylor. Return throw by New York's Charlie Neal was in time for the out. John Callison (6) of the Phillies was at bat when the play began. Philadelphia won, 9-3.
