Police breaking into the apartment of Morris Kanter, 55, found Mrs. Kantor, 50, stabbed to death and Kanter with his throat slashed. Kanter only intelligible statement, detectives said, was "She tried to shoot me." Kanter was taken to the Hollywood Police Station for further questioning.
