Peaceful But Noisy – Sheriff’s deputies using a low-flying helicopter to patrol picket lines at the strike-bound Bell Aircraft Corp. plant in Buffalo, N.Y., brought a union complaint that these tactics endanger members of the striking CIO United Auto Workers. Except for the roar of the helicopter, the blare of the union’s loudspeakers and shouts of picketers, things were peaceful as the strike entered its 66th day.
