Gloucester, Mass. -- Brian I. Whittemore, 26, arrives Gloucester district court Friday in the company of a policeman. District Court Judge H. Lawrence Jodrey found probable cause for keeping Whittemore in custody in connection with the November slaying of his mother, Eva Whittemore, 62. He was ordered held for grand jury review on a murder charge.
