Legros, Alphonse, 1837-1911 · [ca. 1854–1911]
Winter landscape at twilight; at left, woods and a group of bare trees; in the centre, on the horizon, a factory indicated by its high smoking chimney; at right, a field of vines, bordered with two apple trees with twisted branches, in the middle of which can be seen a scarecrow; on the lower level, a man building a fire with dry branches. Etching which reproduces in lines and principal details the third landscape lithograph of impression number 96. On the edge of the ditch at left, changed into a swamp, two fishermen prepare their lines with the light of a lantern.
