Opening Ceremonies at Riverfront Stadium -- The Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves played the inaugural game in the city's new $40,000,000 plus stadium before 51,050 fans. As the National Anthem was played, Reds players stood down the rightfield line, with inaugural officials facing the flag behind the pitching mound. Third and fourth from left -- back to camera, respectively were Charles Feeney, National League president and Baseball commissioner Bowie Kuhn. At far right was Bob Howsam, general manager of the Reds. Atlanta won, 8-2
