"Monster of War". This insignia, depicting what the navy calls a "centaur vampire monster of war hovering over the world," has been adopted by the naval aircraft scouting squadron no. 72, attached to the new aircraft carrier wasp, the U.S. navy department announced in Washington, D.C. Nov. 8. The creature, encircling the globe, combines features of a centaur, vampire bat with head of man and features of tiger. It's tail point to U.S.A. the upraised arm holds a bomb. It will be painted on airplanes of the Squadron.
