Patterson Hangs On-- This is the second knockdown suffered by heavyweight champion Floyd Patterson in the first round of last night's title bout with Ingemar Johansson at Miami Beach. After the fight Patterson, who retained the title with a sixth round knockout, said the mandatory eight count helped him to recover after each knockdown. Referee is Billy Regan.
