On trial for her life

Mrs. Dorothy Krueger Smith, 40-year-old mother of two children, goes on trial in Tokyo today on charges of fatally stabbing her husband, Col. Aubrey D. Smith, in their Tokyo quarters last October. The case will be heard by a blue ribbon 11-member army court martial board which includes two officers of the Womens Army Corps. Mrs. Smith is the daughter of retired Lt. Gen. Walter Krueger, commander of the U.S. Sixth army during World War II.
