Modern Headquarters Serves UAW-This is Solidarity House, modern headquarters of the United Auto Workers union in Detroit, Mich. Built six years ago at a cost of 1 1/4 million dollars, the ultra-modern structure of glass, aluminum, steel brick and stone stands on Detroit River front. An addition, costing 1 1/2 million is nearing completion. It will add four and one-half stories at home levels to original three-story center.
