A friendship that blossomed late Tuesday night in a Cambridge lounge ended in a terrifying ordeal a short time later when a pretty young woman was kidnapped from her date and assaulted in a Roxbury apartment. According to police reports, Miss Patricia Wolf, 19, of Brainard rd., Allston, and her date, Larry Segal, 23, of Foster st., Brighton, became the victims rather than benefactors of two men they met in Charlie's Place at 1 Bow st., Cambridge. When the couple agreed to drive the men to a Boston night spot, police said, they were directed, instead on a circuitous route through Roxbury where, at Tremont and Kendall sts., Miss Wolf was, allegedly dragged from the car and Segal was ordered to leave. During the ensuing commotion, a third man appeared on the scene and, after robbing Segal of $50, the trio dragged the screaming young woman through the yard of the Lenox st. housing project, police said. The struggle was witnessed by some passersby, two young Roxbury women and a man, who drove to Dist. 4 and told police they saw three black men dragging a white girl who was screaming, "Help me, help me!". Police went to the scene, located Segal and were directed to a first-floor apartment at 211 Northampton st. where they found two suspects and an elderly couple. James Lattimore, 30, of 212 Northampton st., and Willord McIse, 48, of 96 Worcester st., So. End, appeared Wednesday in Roxbury District Court on charges of kidnaping, assault with intent to rape, armed robbery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Judge Elwood S. McKinney held the men in $20,000 bail apiece and continued the case to Sept. 21. A third, unidentified suspect is being sought, police said.
