Model catalog publisher arrested

Detective opens car door for Walter Thornton, left, publisher of a model catalog, after he was arrested near here today. Man in background is unidentified. Thornton is accused of fleecing parents of some $600,000 in fees for publishing their children's photographs. An indictment by a Queens, N.Y. grand jury charged Thornton and nine women associates with grand and petty larceny and conspiracy.
