Lord North, mounted on an ass and with the "Conciliatary Bill" in his pocket, tries to leap the Atlantic Ocean, but is driven back by Americans brandishing brooms, spoons, and bellows. Most of the legend is in French. The English publication line with a May 4 date is fictitious and antedated for political reasons according to Dorothy George.
