Part-Time Farmer. Mrs. John B. Edward, mother of five, feeds a pig on her Cleveland, Ga., farm. When chores like this are finished, Mrs. Edwards goes to her job in a new factory nearby. Her factory job has been providential since her husband, a carpenter, was seriously injured in a fall last year. Mrs. Edwards is typical of the new brand of Southern worker who learning about the machine and adapting to the industrial revolution sweeping the South.
