No-Man's Land in The Dust Bowl. Battle lines are sharply drawn where the forces of man and nature meet in the no-man's land between dust bowl waste and growing fields. Here, in Baca county, Colo., a field of broom corn withstands the assault of sand which threatened to defeat the efforts of man to reclaim another field. A normal fall of rain this year, the first since the drought of 1932, has helped in the organized effort to eliminate the dust bowl.
