Missing in hunt for man who swindled her

Police are seeking trace of Mrs. Resida Corrigan (left above), 39-year-old widow and mother of three children, who vanished after leaving her Chicago home last Sunday night to get back $5,000 she had been swindled out of, allegedly by a man who represented himself as a movie producer. The man said his name was Sam Engel. Police ascertained that there is a Sam Engel, but he has been in England for more than a month. The sketch at right was made by Mrs. Corrigan's daughter, also name Resida. He got the $5,000 from Mrs. Corrigan after he promised to make her a movie star and proposed marriage.
