Missing beauty reportedly seen in restaurant

Los Angeles, Calif.........Shown in a typical movie-land glamor pose, the mysterious disappearance of film and television bit player, Jean Spangler, 27, has Los Angeles police sifting the possibility that she's the latest victim of a sex fiend and the report that she was seen at a Hollywood restaurant early Saturday, a few hours after she left home and dropped from sight. Miss Spangler's torn handbag was found in Griffith park on Sunday morning, and police revealed that it contained a note which read "Kirk, can't wait any longer. Going to see Dr. Scott. Will work best this way while mother is away." Two men have identified a photo of the brunette beauty as the young woman they saw both inside and outside a restaurant on Saturday.
