At the top of the tower whose circular enclosure allows a view of a corner of the sky. Klingsor is sitting to the left, at the foot of a square base. His hair and his costume are reminiscent of Rembrandt's Jews. He is holding his book open on his knees with his right hand stretched forward. Kundry is in front of him, on his knees in swirls of smoke, with arms raised and hair spilled back.
