Parrot cannon, James rifle

10 pounder parrot. This rifled iron cannon was cast by Robert P. Parrot at his West Point foundry in Cold Spring, New York. Nearly 100 of these guns and similar Confederate models were used in Gettysburg. James rifle. Four James rifles were used at Gettysburg by the 2nd Battery, Connecticut Light Artillery. These guns had the distinction of being the only rifled bronze field pieces used in this battle.
