New York: Embattled tenants of two Harlem tenements display rats, reportedly caught in buildings in which they live, for reporters outside civil court here 12/30. The tenants, who won compromise from landlord seeking to evict them for nonpayment of rent, had refused to pay because of what they called “filthy and hazardous” conditions and the landlord will use future rent money for repairs on the buildings.
