He allegedly was bitten by a student while helping to eject some 500 sit-in collegians from five buildings on the Columbia University campus early 4/30. At right, a bloodies student walks from the campus. About 100 students were treated and released at two hospitals, most of them for head injuries. The students were ejected by police after staging a week's sit-in protest against university policy.
