New York – Undoing The Tie That Binds Pickets – Police use wire clipper to remove chain that bound pickets’ hands together as they sat in roadway at hospital construction site in New York’s borough of Brooklyn today. The demonstrators were arrested. A Congress of Racial Equality member had chained the pickets together as they sat in roadway to Downstate Medical Center to protest alleged job discrimination.
