New York – Noisy Protest – A woman demonstrator wails in protest as police snip chain that bound pickets’ wrists together as they sat at a construction site in Brooklyn yesterday, blocking a roadway. Pickets were chained together at the entrance to the Downtown Medical Center by a Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) member to protest what they called job discrimination. Demonstrators were arrested.
