The New "Wrist Watch Refrigerator". Miss Alice Beeker, Lafayette, Ind., with the new "wrist watch refrigerator:, developed by Purdue University physicists which eliminates the hot weather worries. The "wrist watch" is filled with a pellet of dry ice which lasts for an hour or two. The idea back of the invention is the same as that of immersing the hands in cold water in order to reach the radial artery in the wrist and help cool the blood stream.
