Denver -- Earl Wear, 12, packs his bags preparatory to leaving for Boy's Ranch near Amarillo, Tex. Earl shot and killed his father, Leonard Wear, 46, last Oct. 9 at their home at Pritchett, Cole. The boy wanted to work in the fields, the father wanted him in school. District Court dismissed a murder charge against him. Cal Farley, founder of Boy's Ranch, agreed yesterday to take Earl on as a rancher.
