New Respirator for Infants--Dr. Leon Arp, top, of Virginia Tech, checks a component of the new respirator for infants which he designed after one of his own children fell ill. The device is said to have increased the survival rate of newborn babies afflicted with respiratory ailments from 50 to 85 per cent.
