The river Sarine is spanned by the lofty Zähringen bridge of which three arches are seen, cutting the height of the plate into approximately equal halves. Above the bridge is the lofty tower of a Gothic church, St. Nicholas, dominating other buildings in the town. Done from nature in March, 1930, after the artist's return from Constantinople.
