Nation's Gold Vault Louisville, Ky., June 9 -- Here is the first airview of Uncle Sam's new vault at Fort Knox, Ky., in which the government will store $6,000,000,000 in gold. It shows graphically how the land has been cleared, new roads built, and the machine gun posts at each corner of the structure. The portion visible is relatively unimportant as a vault, most of the great construction being underground.
