The Miraculous Medal Chapel shows in awesome splendor the medal which by formal canonical inquiry in 1836 was concluded to be supernatural origin. This chapel is as beautiful as any in the entire shrine, with its walls covered with bronze or St. Peter's travertine marble, its concave apse of dark blue mosaic flecked with gold stars and the triple fruitwood panels covered with metal leaf of 23-K gold.
