Nancy Kane, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Ready of 425 Concord Ave., Cambridge, is the first girl to win an athletic scholarship at Assumption College, Worcester. She played basketball at Marshfield High, averaged 10 points and led team in rebounds. The 5 foot, 7 inch forward is daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kane. Her grandfather retired from Cambridge police as a detective 15 years ago.
