Mirthsome Foursome as the Detroit Tigers equaled the early-season victory output by taking a doubleheader from the New York Yankees. In fact, the previous two victories came weeks apart and that was why Manager Bill Norman was fired Saturday. Jimmy Dykes was names manager and the double victory resulted. Left to right are the Tiger heroes, Don Mossi, who won the second game yesterday; Charley Maxwell, once the Red Sox, who equaled a major league record by hitting four consecutive homers and drove in eight runs; Dykes, and Frank Larry, who pitched the opening victory. That was Lary’s 17th victory in over the record, with only five losses in his lifetime record.
