Minnesota princess crowned

Vice President-elect Hubert H. Humphrey of Minnesota crowns Connie Freeman as Minnesota's Cherry Blossom Princess at the Minnesota State Society's Pre-Inaugural Ball in Washington last night in honor of the Humphreys. Secretary of Agriculture Orville Freeman, father of the princess, watches at right. At left is Miss Jane Matuska, last year's princess. Miss Freeman will represent her state in the National Cherry Blossom Festival to be held in Washington in the spring.
