Minneapolis: William Aukland, six-weeks-old, of Minneapolis, rests in an incubator 9/21 after he had become the youngest recipient to receive a kidney during a transplant operation at the University of Minnesota Hospitals 9/20. Dr. John Najarian, surgery chief, said William was in satisfactory condition after having his defective kidney replaced with one from an unnamed 6-year-old who had just died. Najarian had to use magnifying lenses to connect the tiny arteries to William's new kidney.
