Minister faces assault charges

The Rev. Clinton Bell, 39-year-old pastor of the Church of God of the Union Assembly church here, talks things over with Deputy Sheriff W.C. (Pete) Dieterly, after returning from Grants, N.M., to face charges of assault and battery with intent to gratify sexual desires on a 17-year-old girl member of his congregation. Clinton, the father of three children, left Dec. 8, with a 22-year-old unmarried female member of his church. She also returned.
