The third daughter to be born to the Sislers is seen as a good omen for the Cardinal team. The Cardinals won the World series in 1946 when Sisler was a member of the team and his first daughter was born. He second was born in 1950 while he was with the Philadelphia Phillies, and that year the Philadelphia team won the National League pennant.
