The bodies of a 93-year-old widow, Minnie Sperling, and her 72-year-old daughter, Molly Jacobs, were removed from their Roxbury home after the two women were sexually assaulted and murdered. They were beaten to death by someone who apparently tried, but failed, to find a large sum of money they had in a bureau.
