Georgetown--A young husband shot his estranged 19-year-old wife to death with a single shotgun blast and seriously injured a Georgetown man last night before fleeing into the woods and shooting himself in the face, state police said. Dead was Mrs. Marilyn Hartford, mother of two small daughters. The blast cut her down in the front yard of the rural farm home of Charles L. Seavey, Jr., 45, on Thurlow St. Seavey was struck in the arm and shoulder by a second discharge from the 12 gauge shotgun which state troopers said was fired by the dead girl's husband, Charles, 22. The two survivors were taken to Hale Hospital, Haverhill. Seavey's condition was reported as "good."
